Halo MCC is a collection of games and includeds Halo Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 4, Halo Reach’s multiplayer. You can also get the campaign to Halo ODST for $5 and Halo Reach’s campaign and Firefight for $10. I will not be reviewing those two games campaigns. And each games will be separate paragraphs in this article so that if you only want to read about some of the Halo’s in MCC you can.

Halo Combat Evolved.

Halo Combat Evolved was the first Halo game and came out in 2001. While the graphics aren’t as good as the newer Halo’s, 343 has remastered the campaign. Sadly the multiplayer hasn’t been remastered though so the multiplayer still looks like what it was in 2001. Both the campaign and multiplayer in this game are good. The game itself is either my first or second favorite of the games in the collection. (Minor spoilers ahead for the story) Master Chief is a human who has been augmented and then put in armor. This makes him the greatest soldier humanity has ever known. The Master Chief is on The Pillar of Autumn which is fleeing from a planet named Reach. Because of a alien invasion by a group of alien species called The Covenant. The Pillar of Autumn makes a random slipspace jump (the Halo universes way to travel faster then light) and finds a Halo ring. Master Chief later lands on it along with a AI named Cortana. He then begins to explore the ring and later on uncovers some of the rings secrets (end spoilers). The games story is great especially once you unlock one of the Halo rings secrets half way through.

Halo 2

Halo 2 was released in 2005. It is a direct sequel to Halo Combat Evolved. ( spoilers) Master Chief after getting back to Earth is going to a medal ceremony on a orbital defense platform when The Covenant attack and begin to board the station Chief is on. After defending the station Chief chases after the Covenant and finds another Halo ring. Eventually He find his way to High Charity ( The Covenants holy city that is a giant ship) and chases after The High Prophet of Truth (The Covenants leader). Chief doesn’t get to kill the prophet however he does stow away on the prophets ship which is heading to Earth. Cortana is left behind to detonate the engines to destroy High Charity. (End spoilers) Halo 2’s campaign was remastered thankfully and even some of its multiplayer maps were. I enjoy Halo 2’s story although it isn’t as good as the first Halo’s story. A do not like Halo 2 classic multiplayer though and I nearly never play it except for a few times. Halo 2 Anniversary’s multiplayer is great though even if there are only six maps. Halo 2 has really good music and while not as good as Halo 3’s the soundtrack is still awesome.

Halo 3

Halo 3 has a good story and multiplayer (if you can get a hang of it). Halo 3 isn’t remastered but it graphics aren’t as dated at Halo CE’s and Halo 2’s. The story is great with it picking up right where Halo 2 left off. (Spoilers) Chief jumped out of the ship that The Prophet of Truth was in. Some marines found him and after unlocking his armor Chief woke up and was told the problem and how The Covenant had invaded Earth. Chief is then told that he is needed at a human base close by. After planting a bomb to kill all the Covenant in the base he makes his escape along with the rest of the humans. They then head for a portal that The Covenant have dug up on Earth. This portal leads to The Ark. A place where all the Halo rings can be activated and kill all life in the galaxy. Before Chief and the Arbiter ( a rogue alien from The Covenant) head through the portal though, The Flood arrive. The Flood were one of the secret Chief found on the first Halo. The Flood are a parasite that infect humans and most of the species in The Covenant. After fighting through hordes of infected humans and Covenant, Chief and The Arbiter get on a ship as some other rogue Covenant ships begin to glass (glassing is where plasma is fired at a planet and destroys nearly everything in the area where it was fired( the part of Earth that has The Flood. The Chief and Arbiter head through the portal and end up at the Ark where they then find The Prophet of Truth who is then killed by The Arbiter. They then find Cortana in the ruins of High Charity and they also find out that a replacement Halo ring has been made for the one that Chief destroyed in Halo CE. They then activate it and since the Ark is far away from any population center it will not destroy every living thing in the galaxy. Chief and Cortana are lost in space when they go through slipspace through. The Arbiter makes it back to Earth though and the main group of Covenant is destroyed.

Halo 3 not surprisingly also had a great soundtrack. Halo 3's soundtrack is my second favorite out of all the Halos

Halo 4.

Halo 4 was the first game made by 343 Industries instead of Bungie. Most of the community thought the campaign was good but the multiplayer was bad. (Spoiler) The game takes place four years after Halo 3 with the Master Chief being brought out of cryo-sleep by Cortana. Cortana tells him that she has found a signal to the Infinity a large human ship. Chief lands on Requim a world built by a alien race named the Forerunners and heads for the source of the signal. When they get to the signal they try to talk to the Infinity but instead wake up a Forerunner leader called The Didact who was put into forced meditation. This did not help him and when he woke up he his bent on destroying humanity. Why is later explained. Chief then finds the actual Infinity and helps them fight of the Didact’s forces. He then help the Infinity blow a gravity well that his keeping them from leaving Requim. While doing this Chief finds a imprint of The Librarian The Forerunner who imprisoned him when he went half mad and was about to destroy ancient humanity. The Librarian then tells Chief about how the Forerunners fought ancient humanity and how The Didact hated all humans and that was the reason he was trying to kill them. She then tell Chief that The Didact will be going for The Composer which can turn living things into machines that fight for The Didact. She also gives Chief something to keep him from getting killed by The Composer. Chief then goes to stop The Didact from getting The Composer but fails. Chief then has to go to Earth and try to blow up The Didact ship along with The Composer. Chief is able to do but only survives thanks to Cortana who protects him from the blast before being lost into The Domian something that is like The Internet that The Forerunners used. Chief is then sent to Earth where he waits for more missions and eventually he begins to look for Cortana.

Halo 4 has my favorite soundtrack out of all the Halo games. The writers who wrote them did very well.

Multiplayer.

All of the Halo’s have a good multiplayer’s. They all have good gameplay and maps though. Some of them however may be hard to master as there are some very good people who play them. The six remastered Halo 2 maps look great and Halo 4’s look almost as good. The other Halo’s have more dated graphics as they were made in 2001, 2005, and 2007. That doesn’t mean there not so bad you can’t stand them. The game runs very well and I haven’t run into any glitches except some textures not loading until I got close to them.

Overall Halo The Master Chief Collection is worth getting if you have a Xbox or PC just keep in mind if you get the PC version not all the games are out on it but will be in future updates.

In chapter 4 of Little Lord Fauntleroy, Fauntleroy heads for England. While heading there his mother tells him that she will not be living with him at the castle and that she will be living at a house close to the castle. Fauntleroy is not very happy about this and is in fact so sad about this that the man the earl sent to get Fauntleroy says that it was wise of the Earl to have Fauntleroy’s mother live close by. Fauntleroy’s mother also doesn’t tell him about why she isn’t going to live at the castle as she doesn’t want to make him angry toward his grandfather. Fauntleroy makes friends with the sailors on the ship. The sailors tell him many stories about pirates, shipwrecks, and getting stuck on desert islands. When they finally arrive in England, Fauntleroy stays with his mother for a day before going to the castle where his grandfather has learned that no one has said anything bad about him to Fauntleroy.

The AK-47 in one of the most well known weapons of all time. Being well known for being a weapon usually associated with bad guys in video games, books, and movies. This is its history.

The AK-47 was made by a tanker in the Red army named Mikhail Kalashnikov during WW2. He said that while he was in a hospital after he had been wounded. Some of the other soldiers complained about how there weapons were horrible compared to the Germans STG-44. This got Kalashnikov wondering if he could make a weapon that could rival the STG-44. While he was thing up designs the Russian military heard about what he was doing and asked him if he would help them make a weapon that could have the power of a submachine gun but fire like a rifle. Just like the STG-44. Kalashnikov accepted, and before long was working with other weapon designers. During 1942 in began working on a submachine gun design and then in 1943 he began designing a light machine gun. In 1944 there was contest of who could make a good rifle for the Red army Kalashnikov entered with a prototype of the AK-47. He lost the contest but in 1946 entered again. This time he had more success, and was able to start manufacturing the weapons. However the Red army did not begin trials until 1948 and by then Kalashnikov had changed the design some to increase reliability. The weapon was proven to be reliable under multiple conditions and the weapon was manufactured in 1949. Since then multiple variants have been introduced of the AK-47. For example: AK-74, the North Korean AK-47, and others.

Thomas Edison’s beliefs were complicated. He sometimes seemed to be an atheist, but then he would say that he did believe in God. Here is a quote from him in which he says that nature made humans.

“Nature is what we know. We do not know the gods of religions. And nature is not kind, or merciful, or loving. If God made me—the fabled God of the three qualities of which I spoke: mercy, kindness, love—He also made the fish I catch and eat. And where do His mercy, kindness, and love for that fish come in? No; nature made us—nature did it all—not the gods of the religions.”

He was criticized for this. He then said though that he believed in God he just called God nature.

“You have misunderstood the whole article, because you jumped to the conclusion that it denies the existence of God. There is no such denial, what you call God I call Nature, the Supreme intelligence that rules matter. All the article states is that it is doubtful in my opinion if our intelligence or soul or whatever one may call it lives hereafter as an entity or disperses back again from whence it came, scattered amongst the cells of which we are made.”

I am not really sure what he believed in at this point. He didn’t believe in the true God but he doesn’t follow a religion that has a name either.

This is a summary of the first chapter of Little Lord Fauntleroy by Frances Hodgson Burnett.

Fauntleroy is a boy living in New York City. His father was British and his mother is American. His father died when he was very little, and Fauntleroy doesn’t remember much about him. What he doesn’t know until later is that his father was the youngest son of a earl. The two older sons of the earl were not good men. The earl hated them and thought they would not be good heirs. However he had to let the oldest become earl. These two sons died. That means Fauntleroy’s father would have been the next earl if he hadn’t died as well. This leaves Fauntleroy as the only heir of the earl.

Have you ever wanted to visit Scotland? Well if you ever do then you should go to these two places on the Isle of Skye. The first one is called the Fairy Pools, and the second one is named The Storr.

The Fairy Pools is a place that many people hike to. Some people also like try to swim in the water, which is freezing cold. The water has been described as seemingly unnatural with its both blue and green water. Animals also come to the pools. Some of these animals are red deer, rabbits, and sheep. These aren’t the only animals that come to the pools though. Birds also come to the pools. These include grey herons, dunlins, and turnstones.

The Storr is a rocky hill on the Isle of Skye. On the hill there is a rock called The Old Man of Storr. This rock is 164 feet tall and looks almost like a old man. The Storr has other tall rocks but The Old Man of Storr is still the main rock of all of them.

These two places on the Isle of Skye are very interesting to me. They are both some what weird and that is one of the reasons I enjoy learning about them.

Some people may get confused with the differences between a meteoroid, meteor, and meteorite (I know I did). They aren’t that hard to remember once you figure it out though. So lets begin.

Meteoroid. A meteoroid is smaller then a asteroid or comet and usually breaks off from one of them. It also hasn’t entered Earth’s atmosphere.

Meteor. This is a meteoroid that has entered Earth’s atmosphere. They are also called shooting stars.

Meteorite. This is a meteor that hits Earth. These are the rarest of the three since they have to do everything that the other two have to do and then crash into Earth.

They way a learned to remember how to notice the difference is in how they’re spelled. For example the way to remember meteoroid is the very last O in it. The O stands for outside. The way to remember meteorite is to look at the last I in the word. The I is supposed to stand for inside. Sadly there is no easy way to remember Meteor.

Halley’s Comet is a comet that is visible from Earth for a very short time every 75-76 years. Halley’s Comet has been recorded since at least 240 BC and maybe even as far as 467 BC. The comet has been recorded by Chinese, Babylonian, and medieval Europeans record keepers. The last time Halley’s Comet went by Earth was in 1986. Scientist have decided that Halley’s Comet will go by Earth again in the middle of 2061.
